🧼 Some Days I’m Just Proud I Showered

This morning, I saw someone on Instagram who meal-preps quinoa bowls in glass containers, runs 5 miles before work, and somehow has a dog and matching socks.

Meanwhile, I just high-fived myself for putting my scrubs on right-side out.

I used to scroll and spiral.
I’d see someone doing more, looking better, achieving faster — and I’d wonder if I was falling behind.

But then I started paying attention to the things I do that no one sees.

Like remembering which patient needs extra ice.
Or catching a med error before it happens.
Or texting a coworker to make sure they got home safe after night shift.

Those don’t make for cute reels.
But they matter.

Sometimes, success is clocking out without crying.
Sometimes, it’s giving a patient dignity when no one else was looking.
Sometimes, it’s just showing up — sleep-deprived, emotionally fried, but still kind.

So if today all you managed was getting through the day with your badge still on and your shoes mostly matching — I’m proud of us.

We don’t need to win the productivity Olympics.
We just need to keep showing up — with our full hearts and half-full coffee cups.

P.S.
Ever felt like everyone else had it more together than you?
We’d love to hear your story — whether it’s messy, honest, or surprisingly funny.
Drop it in the comments, or email us at stories@pagingapparel.com

if you’d like us to post it on the blog.
We’re happy to share it anonymously.

Let’s keep creating a space where nurses feel seen, not just strong.
